David Cook released the music video for his current single, “Fade Into Me” earlier this morning. The song is the singer’s second single off his latest album, This Loud Morning.
Last month I had the opportunity to talk with David in an interview for Blogcritics about his current tour, and he shared with me a little about this latest video, which was directed by Chris Sims.
“The content of the video, I wanted to showcase how we are live. I feel like it’s really easy sometimes to throw a tie on, and comb your hair, and put together this really sweet storyline; and I think “Fade Into Me” could have definitely taken that angle and it would have worked. I wanted this video to be kind of a no frills, no pretense kind of look at us on the road. It’s a lot of live footage, really just for lack of a better way to phrase it, it’s more of a day in the life kind of thing.”

Lots of news coming from the season 10 Idols this week!
First up, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina’s debut albums hold strong on the charts again this week.
According to Hits Daily Double, Scotty’s album is up one spot to number three, selling 54,875 copies of Clear As Day. Lauren’s album, Wildflower, lands at number 10 this week, selling 25,985 copies. Not too shabby!
And in case you missed it, Scotty released the music video for his current single, “The Trouble With Girls.”
Tune into the Today Show on NBC bright and early this Friday, October 28 to catch Tim Halperin in a segment highlighting TCU’s “Frogs For the Cure,” as well as the singer’s ongoing involvement with Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Last night during his concert in San Diego, David Cook and his band debuted a new cover song. The chosen track? “Stockholm Syndrome” by Muse.

Hello lovely readers! Happy Summer to you all! Every year I always make an iTunes summer playlist with the songs that become my soundtrack, and I thought this year I would share what I’m listening with y’all. Over the past couple weeks I’ve been putting together my playlist of what I have been listening to since summer kicked off.
Since it’s summer, you’re not going to find any ballads on this list. But you are going to find upbeat and fun numbers that probably want to make you dance, or at the very least sing-a-long. You’ll find old songs, new songs, and definitely some of my favorites.
Enjoy Wait…WHAT?’s Summer 2011 Playlist!
“Summertime” – Will Smith: This the quintessential summer song. For me, it’s not summer without the classic Fresh Prince track.
“Right Here, With You” – David Cook: Let it be known that I love David Cook’s new album, This Loud Morning. For me this is one of those songs that you listen to loudly in the car with the windows down and the wind blowing through your hair. Definitely roadtrip mixtape potential with this one!
“Teenage Dream” – The Warblers/Darren Criss: Last summer I felt like Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” was summer rolled up into a fantastically catchy song. Cue Glee giving the song a slight makeover with the ever so dreamy Darren Criss and his kick awesome vocals, and you have a song that I never ever want to go away.
Happy New Music Tuesday, everybody! For those of us that are David Cook fans, it’s a big day, because his sophomore record, This Loud Morning is finally out!
As to not clutter up the blog with separate video posts, I decided to round up what I can find from the David Cook media blitz, and it will be posted here.
Kicking off the post with DCook’s Today Show performance of “The Last Goodbye”!
