I love hearing about the Idol’s lives before they went on the show, so I am just loving all these promos. I hope Idol does them all a solid and has each of the past winners on this season to promote their music.

Just sayin’!

Lee DeWyze Performs “Sweet Serendipity” on ‘The Tonight Show’

Lee DeWyze performed his new single, “Sweet Serendipity” for the first time live on The Tonight Show last night.

Check it out!

I really like this song live. I thought Lee sounded pretty good. The chorus seemed to get him a little bit after the second verse, but overall it was a great debut performance to kick off the album promo for Live It Up.

It was great to see Lee back on TV, and I hope this performance kicks up the sales of the single.

What you think of Lee’s performance from last night?

Good Charlotte Perform “Like It’s Her Birthday” On ‘Lopez Tonight’

Last night Good Charlotte performed their latest single, “Like It’s Her Birthday” on Lopez Tonight.

Check it out!

Seeing them doing promo for their new album Cardiology has been making me all kinds of nostalgic.

When I was in college, my part of my dorm room was covered in Good Charlotte posters and pictures I had taken at their shows. I couldn’t get enough of this band. In the span of two years, I saw them live four times. Each time was better than the previous time, even if there was two days inbetween shows.

If you want to see a band perform their heart out on top of putting on a great live show, whenever Good Charlotte heads out on tour, or if you’re lucky enough to see them while they’re doing promo, GO! I promise that you will not be disappointed.

And if you haven’t already, check out my review for their new album Cardiology that came out this week.

You know me, I have no problem with more David Cook.

I think the director of these promos has done a great job. I can’t wait to see more of the Idols in their hometowns.

So Idol fans, how are you liking the promos for season 10?

Interview >> Casey James from ‘American Idol’

I recently had an opportunity to sit down with newly signed Sony Nashville artist, Casey James as he finished up his time on the road with the American Idol Live tour.

Backstage at the Sacramento, CA tour stop, we talked about what kind of sound to expect on his upcoming album, if he was shocked about Ellen leaving, and what advice he has for future contestants.

You just got signed.

Yeah.

How does that feel?

It feels amazing. It feels like a dream, you know? I’ve worked really hard for a lot of years to get to this point. I’m just thankful and I feel really blessed. I feel like everything is kind of clicking right now. It’s hard to believe.

Very cool. You’re signed with Sony Nashville, so are you going to be leaning towards more of a country feel or stay along the lines of more of a rock feel?

I think it kind of came across on the show is that I’m a country, rock, and blues guy, and that’s what the album is going to be. It’ll have a lot of guitar in it. It’s hard to describe it, cause I’m not really right down the middle.

Do you have any ideas about who you’d like to collaborate with as far as writing goes?

That’s all being talked about right now. Sorry!

It’s all good. How’s the tour going? I was actually at the Mountain View show.

Ahhh, that’s one of my faves!

You kicked off that second half of the show, it was so much fun.

Thank you so much, that was like one of my favorites. The crowd there was just amazing. And what I really loved about that show, was that all the crowd was right there on the stage, everything was so intimate. It was a great show.

The tour’s going great. I know personally for me, it’s a honor to get to play for everybody who put us here, put me here specifically especially, and to get to meet the people. And to play these huge venues is unbelievable. If you had told me a year ago that I was going to be playing a place like this even for just four songs, I would have laughed at ‘cha. It’s awesome.
