Music Video: David Cook – “The Last Goodbye”

The music video for David Cook’s lead single, “The Last Goodbye” off his upcoming sophomore album, This Loud Morning premiered earlier this week on iTunes!

The video was directed by Nigel Dick, who has done videos with Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys in the past. What I have always appreciated about Nigel’s videos is the way he uses color. I thought with this video the color hues were interesting, yet still popped.

Check out the video for “The Last Goodbye” below!

I really like that David didn’t do a full out performance video, because those can be a bore to watch. I think mixing it up and having a fun storyline shows that he doesn’t take himself too seriously.

If you haven’t already, the music video for “The Last Goodbye” is currently available as a FREE download on iTunes!

Tim Halperin Calls ‘Idol’ Season 10 a “BroFest”

Earlier this morning, season 10 Top 24 American Idol contestant Tim Halperin spoke with the “Gravy in the Morning” radio show about last night’s unexpected elimination of front-runner Pia Toscano.

During his interview with Gravy and Ellen, Tim said, “If you look at the top group, it’s turning into a brofest.”

It’s true; Pia’s elimination leaves the now Top 8 with the two remaining female contestants and all six male contestants.

I really like this video. It’s so much better than the Sony advertisement video for “Hold It Against Me”! Ms. Spears has definitely still got it!

Music Video: Lady Gaga – “Born This Way”

Check out Lady Gaga’s music video for her latest single, “Born This Way.”

Seriously, I don’t even know where to begin…it’s interesting? To be honest, I could have lived without the beginning part.

Like most Gaga videos, she never makes the video how anyone imagines it will be.

What do you think of the “Born This Way” video?

Music Video: Anoop Desai – “All Is Fair (Crazy Love)”

I am diggin’ this song!

New Music Video from Backstreet Boy Nick Carter

Nick Carter is releasing his second solo album, I’m Taking Off in early 2011. (Yes, second solo album.)

The music video for Nick’s first single off the album, “Just One Kiss” hit the interwebz earlier this week. Check out the video, and we’ll discuss it afterwords.

Sooooooo, what did y’all think?

I think that I need to start a career in writing music video treatments, because this video is visually stunning, but there’s no storyline. It’s just Nick on the beach singing to the camera. Not gonna lie, it’s pretty boring.

The song is about that kiss at the end of the night, which means the video obviously could have told a story of a first date. Nick is still young enough where a video that takes place during a night out could be seen as cute and charming.

As for the song, it’s okay. I don’t know how well it will do on the radio, but maybe it will work some magic on iTunes.

I definitely plan on checking out Nick’s second album, since I rather enjoyed his first one.

Are y’all excited about Nick’s new album, or would you prefer him to just stick with BSB?
