Ear Candy: Michelle Branch – “Loud Music”

Earlier this week, Michelle Branch held a webcast and debuted her new single, “Loud Music” that will be officially released on June 14.

Take a listen below!

After my first listen of “Loud Music,” I feel that the song is poignant and the lyrics are relatable. Also, I love it when she’s doing music with a rock/pop vibe, so I am stoked to hear the rest of her album.

Music Video: David Cook – “The Last Goodbye”

The music video for David Cook’s lead single, “The Last Goodbye” off his upcoming sophomore album, This Loud Morning premiered earlier this week on iTunes!

The video was directed by Nigel Dick, who has done videos with Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys in the past. What I have always appreciated about Nigel’s videos is the way he uses color. I thought with this video the color hues were interesting, yet still popped.

I really like that David didn’t do a full out performance video, because those can be a bore to watch. I think mixing it up and having a fun storyline shows that he doesn’t take himself too seriously.

If you haven’t already, the music video for “The Last Goodbye” is currently available as a FREE download on iTunes!

Matthew Morrison and Darren Criss Duet on “Summer Rain”

Okay, so calling it a  duet is bit of a stretch, but Darren Criss does play guitar and sing-a-long while Matthew Morrison sings the lead single of his debut self-titled album, “Summer Rain” in the video below.

Afterwards, the two sing a mash-up of “Great Balls of Fire” and “I Saw Her Standing There.”

I’m sorry Matthew, but not even having Darren perform with you can make me like that song of yours. You should start performing, “Still Got Tonight” ASAP.

Matthew Morrison’s debut self-titled album is out today! You can download his second single, “Still Got Tonight” (co-written by Kris Allen) for FREE on iTunes!
