I thought Lady Gaga did an amazing job with her halftime performance. I loved the mix of music from her different album eras. “Born This Way” was the perfect way to express the importance of being inclusive in the current political climate.

I came to know about George Michael as a young fan of Wham!, who used to dance around my parents’ living room to “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” on the regular. The song still makes me smile any time I hear it, so it feels like a fitting Music Monday tribute to the great George Michael.
It was reported on Christmas Day that singer-songwriter George Michael passed away at the age of 53. He was a part of the pop duo Wham! before going out on his own and finding success with hit songs, like “Faith,” “Careless Whisper,” and “Freedom ! ’90.”
