Being that September is my birthday month, I decided that for this month’s SOTW that I would share some of my personal faves! And to kick things off, Wait…WHAT?’s Song of the Week is none other than my very favorite song, “Take Me Away” by Lifehouse.
I don’t even know where to begin. I remember listening to Lifehouse’s Stanley Climbfall the day it came out and just being completely taken with this song. From the way the way the guitars build in the beginning to the lyrics, to the passion in Jason Wade’s voice – everything about “Take Me Away” is just beautiful.
Here’s Lifehouse performing “Take Me Away” live at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco in June 2010, which was the first time I ever got to hear my favorite song live.
