Wait…WHAT?’s Favorite Songs of 2018

Heyo! The year is coming to a close, which means it’s time to reveal my favorite songs of 2018! You’ll notice that I stuck close to a handful of artists this year. I had certain albums (Voicenotes, Shawn Mendes, Liberation, and Good Thing, for example) on repeat for a good chunk of the year, so you’ll notice this year’s list basically reflects that. Some of the usual suspects can be found in the mix as well as some of my underrated, lesser-known faves.

Janelle Monáe & Wondaland Records Release Single “Hell You Talmbout”

Janelle Monáe & Wondaland Records have released a powerful new single “Hell You Talmbout.” This compelling song features Monáe along with Jidenna, Roman GianArthur, Deep Cotton, St. Beauty, and George 2.0, as they stand up for justice of black lives taken by police.

Indie pop band fun. is hitting their stride on their sophomore effort, Some Nights. The album features the band’s anthemic hit single, “We Are Young (featuring Janelle Monáe).” The track has been featured on Glee and in an ad for Chevy Sonic, which was shown during Super Bowl XLVI.
