Over the past week or so, American Idol season 11 contestant Colton Dixon has been teasing fans via Twitter about some big news he had to share. Well Idol fans, today’s the day! Check out Colton’s video message below for his big news!

Here’s a break down of Colton’s news:

– He’s been signed to EMI CMG/Sparrow Records, which is home to some very well-established Christian music artists.

– “Never Gone,” the original song he’s been singing throughout the summer on the Idol tour will be officially released to iTunes on Tuesday, September 25! (A day before my bday! :D)

– And the first official single from his upcoming debut album is called, “You Are,” and was written about a year and a half ago by Colton and some of his friends.
