RECAP: Alice 97.3’s Now & Zen Fest at Golden Gate Park

Alice 97.3 hosted it’s yearly Now & Zen Fest out in Golden Gate Park earlier today. And when you combine the words “free” and “concert,” I’m there!

This year the concert was headlined by a band I’ve never actually seen perform live before, being the Goo Goo Dolls! Michelle Branch, who played at Summerthing this past June, Thriving Ivory, and Eoin Harrington were also on the afternoon’s line-up.

Let’s jump to some big news that was shared during Thriving Ivory’s set. Their performance today was actually the Bay Area band’s last show together as “Thriving Ivory.”

Since it was the band’s last time playing together, I decided to capture their final performance, “Angels on the Moon.” Enjoy!

Michelle Branch hit the stage next, and played a mix of her well-known hits, along with new songs off her upcoming album, West Coast Time, which has been pushed back to a November release date.

Michelle played a new song called, “Spark,” which is definitely a song to look for when her new album is released. It was my favorite out of the new songs she played this afternoon.

Speaking of new songs, check out Michelle’s performance of “Loud Music”!

I also captured my very favorite song of Michelle’s, “All You Wanted.” Enjoy!

The Goo Goo Dolls closed the show, and I have to admit that I was absolutely stoked to see them live! And I have to say that they did not disappoint! Lead singer, John Rzeznik kept the crowd hyped up during their entire set!

Their set list was a great mix of their latest album, Something For The Rest of Us, and their long list of hits, which the crowd happily sang-a-long to!

I captured a couple of my all-time favorite Goo Goo Dolls songs to share with y’all! Enjoy “Big Machine” and “Name”!

Overall, it was a great afternoon live music! Thanks to Alice 97.3 for putting on another great show!
