#MusicMonday: David Archuleta – “Be That For You”

David Archuleta dropped his new single, “Be That For You,” last week, and I already cannot get enough of it!

Here’s what David had to say about his new single on his website:

“It’s been a while since I’ve done a romantic song. We wrote “Be That For You” to be a more light-hearted love song. Wanted it to be vibey and moody yet make you dance. I hope you like it!”

Well…mission: completed. You better believe that I will be dancing it out to “Be That For You” for the foreseeable future!

#MusicMonday: Doja Cat – “Kiss Me More (ft. SZA)”

Last Friday, Doja Cat officially kicked off her new era with the release of “Kiss Me More (ft. SZA),” the first single off of her upcoming album, Planet Her, due out this summer. The track was written by Doja Cat, SZA, Yeti Beats, Rogét Chahayed, tizhimself and Carter Lang and produced by Yeti Beats. The music video (shared above) was directed by Warren Fu, who has previously worked with The Weeknd and Kehlani.

The song is an absolute bop; I appreciate that Doja Cat keeps us dancing–even if it’s just at home!

#MusicMonday: Silk Sonic – “Leave The Door Open (Live)”

Aaaaaand we’re back! I think it’s only appropriate to kick off Wait…WHAT?’s #MusicMonday return by highlighting “Leave The Door Open”–a song that I haven’t taken off of repeat since the newly formed duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak combined their musical super powers as Silk Sonic. They just dropped the live version of the track this past Friday, and I already just can’t get enough! This first single from Silk Sonic has me completely amped for their full album–to the point that I keep hoping there’s a surprise drop in the very near future! Fingers crossed!
